Pro Tips & Common Questions

Shock every 1–2 weeks during the swim season, and after heavy rain, large parties, or any algae sighting. Add shock in the evening for best results.
Cloudy water usually means low chlorine, high pH, or a dirty filter. Green water indicates algae growth — act fast with a shock treatment and algaecide.
Brush all surfaces, add a double-dose shock, run the filter 24/7, and apply algaecide. Re-test and adjust chemistry after 24–48 hours. Repeat if needed.
Add chemicals in the evening after swimming, with the pump running. This prevents UV degradation of chlorine and allows chemicals to circulate overnight.
Run your pump at least 8 hours per day in summer to ensure full water turnover. In cooler months or low-use periods, 6 hours is typically sufficient.
